However, our expert local guides know the best routes and areas to maximize your chances. The secret to Arctic comfort is smart layering. We highly recommend bringing moisture-wicking base layers (merino wool is excellent), warm mid-layers like fleece or heavy-knit wool sweaters, and a reliable windproof and waterproof outer shell. Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots, insulated gloves, a warm beanie, and sunglasses are also essential. Rest assured, we will provide the heavy-duty thermal gear and helmets needed for specific activities like the snowmobile safari.
